IPAK Institute for Symbolic Analysis and Development of Information Technologies started its activities in the year 2000. Its staff is active in the field of development and application of IT, promotion of science, invention and innovation. education and development of educational methods supporting creativity, creative communities and voluntarism, regional development, promotion of social innovation, humanity and creating the services for people with disabilities

IPAK is educating (courses, workshops) publishing (books and other publications) and is researching (active research unit).

Till now IPAK participated in several European and national projects in the framework of following programmes: Eureka (Etos, ISMDMP), LifeLong Learning Programme (e-know-net, Tale, MobiBlog, HiStory, Experts, Bridge, eSwimming, iLearn Nest, STENCIL), Central Europe (Custodes), Cross Border Collaboration Slovenija Hrvaška (PTO, IRIS, INKUB), IPA Bosna in Hercegovina (Medicinski otpad), FP7 (weSPOT).

IPAK institute has regular contacts with researchers abroad, Slovenian companies and institutions. The partners of IPAK are coming from EU, Southeastern Europe, Russian Federation and US.

IPAK is holder of 8 patents and 4 trademarks protected at Slovenian Office for Intellectual Property.
